Shem Creek Music Center

This holiday season, let us help you find just the right gift for that musician in your life.

At Shem Creek Music Center we pride ourselves on our knowldege, service, and prices. We have been in the vintage gear business for more than 30 years. We run a no-pressure, laid-back store with a good selection of vintage guitars and amps from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Complimenting these beauties are a great selection of new guitars from the best of the modern makers such as Taylor, St. Blues, Sierra, and many others.

Come visit us today. If we don't have it, we'll order it for you. We are conveniently located on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant near Shem Creek.
Saint Blues Guitars
st-blues-guitarSt. Blues Guitars was born in the heart of the Delta, where country tangled with the the blues and spawned the true birthplace of Rock & Roll - Memphis. On the street now called Elvis Presley Boulevard, Mike Ladd and Tom Keckler were doing something magical with guitars at Mike Ladd's Guitar City.

Seems whenever these boys laid hands on someone's guitar (such as Jimmy Page's), the guitar just played a whole lot better. Hell, they even built one for the King. You can see him play it in "Aloha from Hawaii".
Featured Local Artist
Although not yet 20 years old, Quentin Ravanel has established himself as one of the most exciting drummers in the state of South Carolina. Whether funk, rock, jazz, or gospel Quentin is the go-to drummer for many local acts. In any given week, you may see Quentin with the Louis D Project, Malfunction Junction, Dan Wright and The New Beat, and Soul Captive.
